Bayonne, New Jersey — December 21— The Bayonne Fire Department was responding to a one-alarm fire on Avenue C between Second and Third Streets on December 21, according to the Bayonne Office of Emergency Management. While operations continued, fire departments were tasked with scene control and suppression. In order to support fireground activities, the Bayonne Police Department controlled traffic and protected the area. The Bayonne Department of Public Works also helped with operational and highway requirements. To enable emergency personnel to operate safely and effectively, drivers and pedestrians were asked to stay away from the area. As staff attempted to get the situation under control, activities proceeded without any early reports of injury.
