On February 24, 2026 at approximately 1055 hours, the Camden County Fire Alarm Room dispatched the Lindenwold Fire Department and automatic aid companies to the Laurel Hill Apartments at 800 Chews Landing Road in Lindenwold for the report of an apartment fire. Multiple calls reported multiple units involved. Lindenwold Fire Chief, PK Beeler, arrived and reported a two story apartment building with fire showing. First in units stretched a 2.5" hand line to attack the fire followed by several more hand lines in an attempt to get ahead of this well advanced fire while searches were under way. The second alarm was transmitted as crews were heavily engaged in fire attack and overhaul. The fire communicated to the roof area so crews were withdrawn and the Lindenwold and Stratford aerials were put to work as the fire made its way through the roof. The fire darkened down and crews remained on location for final extinguishment and overhaul. The fire was declared under control around 1215 hours.
