Cedar Grove, NJ — December 8 — When an alarm went out in the township, the Cedar Grove Fire Department, which is situated at 525 Pompton Avenue, responded. In order to identify the source of the alert and ensure scene safety, firefighters quickly arrived and started a methodical inspection of the area. Crews got to work right away, making sure everything was safe and there were no dangers.
Members concluded operations and vacated the area after finishing their investigation and determining that no additional action was required. Responding to alarms is still a routine aspect of department operations and calls for the same amount of attention to detail and professionalism as any other call. The reaction also demonstrates the ongoing commitment of Cedar Grove's volunteer firemen, who serve and protect the community by responding to calls day or night and in any weather.
