Wildwood, NJ — December 1 — In November, the City of Wildwood Fire Department reported consistent operational activity. Firefighters continued to offer emergency services to locals and guests while responding to 215 fire and EMS incidents throughout the city.
The department's Fire Prevention Bureau continued to operate throughout the month in addition to response activities. With an emphasis on life safety, code compliance, and hazard reduction, staff members performed 390 fire safety inspections at residential and commercial sites. These inspections are a part of continuous initiatives to improve public safety and lower the danger of fire. According to department officials, preventative and emergency response initiatives complement one another to enhance community safety in general. Monthly activity reports assist planning choices, monitor call volume, and direct future staffing, training, and preventative efforts.
