RIO GRANDE, NJ - A reported structure fire in the 600 block of Breakwater Road in Lower Township on December 11, 2025, prompted the Rio Grande Fire Company to react. Tanker 60, Tender 61, Squad 72 (designated as RIT), and Tanker 72 joined Erma Fire Company in responding. When crews arrived, they saw flames coming from the building's front. Quint 62 moved to the second story after extending two attack lines and putting out exterior flames. Before returning to service, firefighters stayed on the scene for around four hours while operating under established command.
