December 20, 2025, during the evening hours — Firefighters were called to a reported structure fire on Ivins Avenue, where a residence was found heavily involved upon arrival. Crews from the Cardiff Volunteer Fire Company were first on scene and immediately initiated an aggressive fire attack as flames extended through the structure and into the night sky. Mutual aid was requested, bringing additional resources from the Bargaintown Volunteer Fire Company and Egg Harbor Township to assist with suppression efforts and scene control.
Fire companies worked for an extended period to bring the blaze under control, battling intense heat and heavy smoke conditions. Emergency vehicles lined the residential street as firefighters focused on knockdown and preventing the fire from spreading to nearby homes.
