On 14th Dec 2025- Cardiff Township firefighters remained busy throughout December, responding to multiple structure fires, participating in community events, and continuing recruitment efforts—all while balancing holiday traditions such as Santa details. Volunteer crews from the Cardiff Volunteer Fire Company #1, alongside neighboring departments including Bargaintown, Farmington, Northfield City, and others, handled several significant fire incidents under challenging conditions, including extreme cold, snow, and ice. Despite the demanding pace, firefighters successfully controlled fires with no reported civilian or firefighter injuries, while also maintaining a visible and positive presence in the community through holiday events like the EHT tree lighting and Santa visits. Fire investigations in all incidents were handled by the EHT Fire Investigations Bureau, highlighting continued coordination among regional emergency services.
