Thursday, November 28, 2025 — Brigantine Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 2657, in partnership with the Brigantine Fire and EMS Department, announced the return of the popular North Pole Mailbox program, giving local children the chance to send letters directly to Santa Claus. According to the announcement, the special red mailbox will be located at the front of the firehouse and will open beginning next weekend, coinciding with the Brigantine Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. Letters will be collected from December 6 through December 20, and children who include their name and a return address will receive a personalized response from Santa in time for Christmas. Fire officials emphasized that no postage is required and encouraged families to participate in the annual tradition, which has become a festive highlight in the community during the holiday season.
