Chesilhurst, NJ — December 20 — In the Borough of Chesilhurst, the Winslow Township Fire Department was called to a reported house fire. When Platoon C's Engine 25 and Battalion 25 arrived, they discovered serious fire conditions throughout the house. Engine 25 started fire attack operations and deployed a 1.75-inch handline. Because of the non-hydrant location, command assigned other water delivery operations when more resources arrived. While coordinating suppression and scene support operations, crews sought to contain the fire.
Neither first responders nor civilians reported any injuries. The impacted family was forced to relocate as a result of the fire. The Camden County and Winslow Township Fire Marshals' Offices looked into the event. The displaced residents received assistance from the American Red Cross.
