Camden City, NJ — December 8 — The Camden City Fire Department and the Winslow Township Fire Department engaged in combined training at a building they had purchased in Camden City. This kind of practical training is a significant potential for operational development because acquired structures are rarely available. The utilization of ground ladders, violent entrance methods, and ventilation operations were the main topics of instruction. Crew members were able to practice skills in a controlled environment as they went through realistic scenarios that mirrored conditions frequently seen during structural fires.

Acquired structure drills are recognized by fire department training guidelines as useful for reiterating fireground principles. Officials from the Winslow Township Fire Department expressed gratitude to the Camden City Fire Department for providing the location and encouraging ongoing departmental collaboration.
