Sicklerville, NJ — November 29 — Chief Rigberg and firemen from Squad 25, Engine 25, and Battalion 25 of Platoon A of the Winslow Township Fire Department finished an inspection tour of residential smoke alarm blocks in the township's Sicklerville neighborhood. In addition to giving people basic fire safety information, crews went door to door inspecting homes to make sure the smoke alarms were operational. The inspections are a part of a year-round program that is carried out in Winslow Township neighborhoods.

One of the best methods for early fire detection, according to fire professionals, is still smoke alarms that are placed and maintained correctly. Through proactive fire prevention measures, the department's inspection program focusses on lowering risk, enhancing readiness, and bolstering community safety.
