Mutual Aid Supports Jacksonville Fire at December House Fire

Bordentown, New Jersey — December 21 — On Springfield Township's Highland Road, volunteers from Jacksonville Fire Co. Sta. 212 responded to a reported home fire. When the first units arrived, they discovered that there was a fire inside the house and started fighting it. When conditions allowed, crews tried to contain the fire, safeguard nearby locations, and finish searches. While keeping an eye on site safety, incident leadership oversaw activities and upheld responsibility.


As firemen attempted to contain the fire, mutual-aid agencies responded to offer more personnel and resources. Firefighters carried out overhaul operations to look for extension and any hot spots that remained after knockdown. There was no immediate information available on injuries or displacement. In Springfield Township and the neighboring areas, Jacksonville Fire Co. Sta. 212 continues to respond to structural fires and other emergencies.
