Columbus, New Jersey — December 1 — At 866 Mansfield Road West, members of Franklin Fire Company #1 responded to and handled an overturned propane delivery vehicle. Crews secured the vehicle, established scene control, and assessed any potential risks related to the propane shipment upon arrival. While keeping an eye on the circumstances surrounding the truck, firefighters maintained a safety perimeter and put traffic control measures into place. At the time of the reaction, no injuries had been reported.
Because propane transport incidents involve pressurized fuel systems, thorough size-up is necessary.
