Brookhaven Joins DOE’s Genesis Mission to Advance AI-Enabled Science

Brookhaven National Laboratory is contributing to the Genesis Mission, a new effort led by the U.S. Department of Energy to accelerate American science through artificial intelligence.

The initiative brings together expertise and advanced infrastructure from DOE national laboratories, including Brookhaven National Laboratory, to strengthen U.S. leadership in AI-enabled scientific discovery and national security. By integrating AI tools across research domains, the Genesis Mission aims to transform how science is conducted, from fundamental research to applied technologies.

Brookhaven’s role builds on its long-standing strengths in data science, accelerator technology, and large-scale scientific computing, supporting the mission’s goal of delivering faster, more powerful insights that benefit science, security, and innovation nationwide.
