Commack Firefighters Battle Two Vehicle Fires in Two Days

November 30, 2025 — The Commack Fire Department responded to two separate vehicle fires within a span of just two days this week, quickly bringing both incidents under control and preventing further damage.
The first fire was reported on November 26, 2025, shortly after 1:30 p.m. on Commack Road. Firefighters arrived to find a minivan fully involved by fire in a parking lot. Crews deployed hose lines and extinguished the blaze within minutes.
A second vehicle fire occurred on November 29, just after 1:00 p.m., on Burr Road. In that incident, firefighters encountered an engine compartment fire and were again able to quickly knock down the flames.
According to the department, no injuries were reported in either incident. Officials credited the rapid response and coordinated efforts of firefighters for the swift suppression of both fires.
