December 1, 2025 — The Wyckoff Volunteer Fire Department responded during the afternoon with Engine 234 on a second-alarm assignment to Hawthorne for a well-involved residential structure fire.
Upon arrival, Wyckoff crews were initially assigned to the Rapid Intervention Team (RIT), standing by to ensure firefighter safety. As operations progressed, members were then redeployed and worked alongside Hawthorne Fire Department and other mutual aid companies to support ongoing fireground operations.
Department officials commended the coordinated mutual aid response that helped bring the incident under control.
