Carneys Point, NJ — December 4 — With funding from a federal grant, Carneys Point Fire Department & Rescue Squad Inc. continues to staff volunteers in quarters every day of the week. The program increases overall preparedness and enables firemen to react swiftly to a variety of emergency calls. The on-duty crew recently assisted with a mutual-aid response to a reported house fire in nearby Pedricktown. Under incident command, Carneys Point troops collaborated with local fire and emergency medical services to support suppression efforts.
