The Berkeley Heights Fire Department informed locals that there is a winter weather advisory in place and that three to five inches of snow are predicted. Road conditions are expected to be sloppy and coated in snow, particularly in the morning. If travel is required, residents are advised to exercise caution and to allow additional stopping distance. In order to guarantee prompt access in an emergency, the department also asked property owners to remove snow from adjacent fire hydrants.
