The Peapack Gladstone Fire Department took a moment during its December business meeting to recognize John Sweeney for his steadfast commitment and assistance. Sweeney was regarded as a dependable friend, supporter, and unwavering presence who constantly defended the department and tried to advance it.

The department honored John Sweeney as a posthumous member in appreciation of his dedication and "can-do" mentality. Members pointed out that his support and influence will continue to be a pillar of the department.

The department emphasized that John's memory will always be a part of the PGFD family and thanked Karen Sweeney for coming to the meeting and participating in the tribute.
