Two-Alarm Fire at Vacant Henrietta Motel

Henrietta, NY - Around 5:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 13, 2020, Henrietta firefighters and CHS EMS responded to the report of a structure fire at the former Vista Heights Inn on West Henrietta Road. Units arrived on location and found a working fire on the building's second floor and roof. Command requested a second-alarm to be struck, bringing in mutual aid from the City of Rochester, Chili, Brighton and Scottsville. Monroe County Sheriff's deputies took two people into custody that were believed to have been squatting in the building. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Monroe County Fire Bureau.
