December 6, 2025 — On Sunday morning, area fire companies returned to the Charlestown Road home in Hampton to refill the in-ground swimming pool that had been emptied during last weekend’s structure fire to augment the water supply.

During the firefighting operations, the pool was drained to support suppression efforts. Fire officials explained that in-ground pools must retain water through the winter months to prevent ground heaving, which can cause serious structural damage if the pool is left empty.

The Hampton Fire Company Station #13 advised residents that the presence of fire trucks at the property was solely for refilling operations and not due to a new emergency.
