Wilmot, NH — December 1 — At 60 Deerwood Drive, the Wilmot Volunteer Fire Department was called to a building fire. When crews arrived, they saw considerable smoke coming from the attached two-car garage's second-floor access and eaves. The primary body of fire was attacked from the inside after a full size-up.
Wilmot and New London Fire's joint interior crew moved swiftly to prevent the fire from spreading into the nearby house. Command asked for a second-alarm engine assignment to support operations as more companies arrived. The property was given back to the homeowners when the fire was put out. Everyone was kept safe during the crisis thanks to a coordinated reaction by mutual aid partners, dispatch centers, EMS support, and locals.
