Chichester, NH — November 17 — Personnel of Chichester Fire & Rescue travelled to Northwood for a multi-agency vehicle extrication training. Responders from Northwood, Strafford, and Nottingham also took part, allowing them to collaborate on rescue methods frequently employed in auto accidents. As they rotated through various scenarios, firefighters rehearsed stabilization, tool operations, and patient-removal techniques. Through the training, staff members were able to become acquainted with one another's tools and communication methods, which facilitates more seamless coordination during actual crises. Since departments frequently respond across town borders through mutual-aid agreements, regional extrication training is still crucial. The Chichester Fire Department expressed gratitude to Northwood Fire for organizing the meeting and giving them another chance to enhance preparedness and safety. Strong collaborations enable all organizations to better serve their communities, according to the department.
