Weare, NH — December 1 — Weare Fire Rescue at 144 North Stark Highway responded to a motor-vehicle accident near the intersection of Twin Bridge Road and Route 114 involving two commercial vehicles. The call first reported possible entrapment, forcing Weare Ambulance 2, Engine 2, and Rescue 1 to react. One car was on its side when crews arrived, but by the time first responders arrived, every passenger had left. Personnel assessed both drivers, who declined treatment and transfer. Fire teams stayed on-scene to provide traffic control and aid tow operators during the extended recovery effort. Because of the size of the vehicles and safety issues, commercial vehicle incidents frequently result in prolonged clearance delays. After the units were put back into service and the dangers were eliminated, the route was completely reopened.
