Weare, NH — November 11 — On Veterans Day, Weare Fire Rescue, situated at 144 North Stark Highway, honored US military personnel and acknowledged the ongoing dedication of many veterans as first responders. Lieutenant FF/AEMT Wayne Meattey and FF/EMT Nicholas Smallwood received special recognition from the department for their military service and continued protection of the Weare community. According to fire officials, veterans offer critical abilities including leadership, teamwork, and dependability—all of which are critical to emergency response. The department observed that both military and fire service share a strong focus on serving others and being ready at all times.
