Mutual Aid Activated for Major Building Fire Response

Hollis, NH — December 1 — The Hollis NH Fire Department, headquartered at 10 Glenice Drive, says that Engine 2 is operating in Nashua at a six-alarm building fire. Due to the size of the incident, several departments had to work together to offer more staff and equipment. The lead department is heavily burdened by high-alarm reactions, and regional collaboration guarantees that there are sufficient firemen available for safety, suppression, and continuing support duties. Hollis workers were tasked with supporting Nashua Fire Rescue's efforts while remaining prepared for any unexpected needs that could arise at the location. Fire officials emphasize that mutual aid remains a crucial aspect of emergency response in New Hampshire, especially during major catastrophes that surpass local resources. Until Nashua returns supporting components to service, Engine 2 will continue to be dedicated.
