Just before 9:40 p.m. on December 1, 2025, fire units from Boscawen, Concord, Franklin, Salisbury, and Webster were sent to Gage Street in Penacook Village for a reported structure fire. A Penacook Rescue Squad ambulance was first to arrive and found heavy flames coming from an attached garage. Concord Engine 5 reached the scene moments later and began attacking the fire. With the fire already well advanced and mixed reports suggesting someone might still be inside, Boscawen C1 upgraded the incident to a second alarm. This brought additional assistance from Bow, Loudon, Hopkinton, Chichester, and other departments. Crews had the majority of the fire under control within about 30 minutes.
