MONT VERNON, N.H. — November 15 — On Saturday afternoon, the Mont Vernon Fire Department responded to a fire alarm activation near Cheever Lane. Firefighters came to inspect the building for smoke or fire. After a comprehensive inspection, workers confirmed there was no active emergency and that the alarm system was functioning properly before clearing the scene.

The agency continues to underscore the benefit of well-maintained alarm systems, which provide critical early warning for both residents and responders.
