Overnight Parking Restrictions Begin for Winter Safety

Litchfield, NH — November 17 — The yearly winter parking prohibition has been implemented, according to the Litchfield Police Department. In order to keep roadways safe for emergency response and clear for ploughing, the regulation prohibits parking on public streets overnight throughout the winter.
Open roads are essential for fire engines, ambulances, and police units to swiftly reach homes and businesses when snow or ice conditions arise. Streets that are blocked or limited might make it more difficult to respond quickly and put the public and responders at greater danger. When winter weather is anticipated, the department requests that homeowners abide by the specified limitations and park their cars in driveways or other designated areas. As part of continuous efforts to ensure effective storm response and safeguard community safety, the parking prohibition will be in effect for the duration of the season.
