Antrim, NH — November 7 — Two ambulance personnel have finished the New Hampshire Operational K9 Prerequisite Protocol Course to provide care for police K9 "Dexter" and other working dogs, according to Department Antrim Fire & Ambulance, located at 82 Clinton Rd. Certified staff can treat and transport operational K9s hurt while performing law enforcement or public safety tasks thanks to the state-approved training. Pre-hospital stabilization, injury care, and safe handling in field settings were the main topics of the two-day workshop, which was instructed by NHOpK9 Med with veterinarians and seasoned K9 handlers. Participants gained confidence in working dog emergencies by completing practical scenarios.

According to officials, this capability guarantees quicker, more suitable medical treatment for K9 partners who are crucial to community safety and improves coordination with Antrim Police.
