Amherst Fire Rescue Balances Resources During High Call Volume

Amherst, NH — November 20 — Another morning with overlapping EMS events was reported by Department Amherst Fire Rescue, located at 177 Amherst St. This is a recurring trend as call traffic keeps rising. Strong coordination is required when units are committed simultaneously, as evidenced by the fact that two ambulances responded to different crises and then arrived together at a nearby hospital.
Officials pointed out that simultaneous requests frequently call for the majority of on-duty staff and may necessitate mutual aid cooperation from nearby organizations. While making sure the station is still equipped to handle more emergencies, crews continue to concentrate on providing prompt patient treatment. EMS has grown to be a significant component of Amherst Fire Rescue's services, and personnel and ongoing training are still top priority in order to satisfy community demands.
