The Rumney Fire Department announced that four of its members, FF Heather Adey-Merrithew, FF Jeff Lanaville, Probationary FF Bekah Crane, and Probationary FF Jason Stone, successfully completed the ProBoard Firefighter I certification.

Over the course of three months, the group completed more than 200 hours of training at the New Hampshire Fire Academy, attending weekend practical sessions and weekday seminars in Concord.

The course equips firemen to respond safely to vehicle accidents, building fires and other crises. While finishing the training, the newly qualified personnel continued to answer calls, according to department leadership. The department conveyed gratitude to their families for their assistance throughout the hectic timetable. As active responders serving the Rumney community, the four will now put their training to use.
