Water Issue, MVC, and Medical Calls Logged

Arkport, NY — October 31 — Arkport Hose Co. #1 Inc. answered several calls throughout the week in Hornellsville and Dansville.

On Wednesday, October 29, at 8:29 a.m., crews were summoned to the 7500 block of Airport Road in Hornellsville for a water problem. Car 2 arrived, discovered a water main break, and alerted Hornell DPW. On Thursday, October 30, at 3:19 p.m., the department responded to a two-vehicle incident on State Route 961F in Dansville, resulting in a traffic closure and injuries. Rescue 38, Car 2, and Car 201 were on the scene alongside Dansville Ambulance.

That evening, at 10:00 p.m., members were asked to gather with law enforcement on County Route 52 in Dansville for a medical emergency involving a probable overdose and seizures. Medic 2, Car 2, and Car 201 were dispatched, along with Dansville Ambulance, Livingston County ALS, Steuben County Sheriff's Office, and NY State Police.

On Friday, October 31, crews responded to a medical call on County Route 66 in Hornellsville for a patient reporting illness. Medic 2, Car 2, and Car 201 responded to the incident, along with Hornell Ambulance. Arkport Hose Company thanks all aiding agencies for their help during the week.
