Wethersfield, CT — November 17 — On Monday night, Wethersfield Fire Department Company 1 Firefighter Kevin Brady received his graduation certificate for completing the Firefighter I program. The course included more than 160 hours of classroom instruction and practical skills, covering core firefighting tasks such as fire behavior, PPE use, hose operations, ladders, and basic search techniques. Training was held in Rocky Hill and was attended by about 17 firefighters from departments across the region.

Firefighter Brady’s completion of Firefighter I marks an important step in his development as an interior firefighter. The department congratulated him on the accomplishment and noted the continued value of strong entry-level certification in preparing members for safe fireground operations.
