Avon, CT — November 21 —The Avon Volunteer Fire Department recognized Retired Chief and current Board President Jamie DiPace after he was named Avon UNICO’s Citizen of the Year. DiPace has been a long-standing leader within the department and the community, known for his steady involvement in public safety initiatives, training support, and community outreach efforts. His selection reflects decades of service to the Town of Avon and continued commitment as part of the AVFD Board.
