Bloomfield, CT — October 26 — Firefighters with the Bloomfield Center Fire Department spent this week training on mobile water supply operations, reviewing skills that are less common in a community supported by a strong hydrant network. Crews practiced establishing fill sites, setting up dumpsite operations, coordinating tanker shuttles, and operating aerial master streams. The training ensured members remain prepared for incidents where hydrants are unavailable or limited, such as mutual-aid responses or rural-area fires.

These drills reinforced efficient water movement, communication between drivers and pump operators, and the ability to sustain fire flow during extended operations. The department noted strong participation and consistent performance throughout the training cycle.
