Wethersfield, CT — November 17 — Members of the Wethersfield Fire Department conducted Vent, Enter, and Search (VES) evolutions on Monday night at the Rocky Hill Fire Department Training Center. The session focused on controlled entry, room isolation, and primary search techniques used during structure fire operations. Crews worked through multiple scenarios to strengthen coordination, improve search speed, and review safe ventilation practices.

The training supported ongoing readiness for interior fire responses, giving firefighters hands-on time with modern search methods in a controlled environment. VES remains an important skill set for locating occupants quickly during limited-access or high-risk situations, and the department continues to incorporate it into routine training cycles.
