The Shelton Fire Department mourned the death of Past Chief Daniel Mudry of the Ansonia Fire Department, who was also an active member of the Seymour Fire Department. Chief Mudry was well-known in the Valley fire service and remained a close friend of many Shelton firemen. During his 10 years as Chief, he was appreciated for his simple, "old-school" attitude as well as the consistent leadership he provided to those with whom he worked.

Chief Mudry's influence extended far beyond his home departments, and his passing leaves a considerable vacuum in the Valley's emergency services community. The Shelton Fire Department expresses its heartfelt condolences to the Mudry family at this difficult time.
