Bushkill, PA — November 2 — Following reports of a single vehicle off the road, Bushkill Volunteer Fire Company responded to a collision near Pine Ridge Drive and Lakeview Road in Lehman Township on Sunday. When crews arrived, they discovered that the car had collided with a utility pole, shattering it and bringing it down on top of the car. Before emergency personnel could arrive, the motorist self-extricated and was evaluated on the spot. While utility crews worked, firefighters controlled traffic, secured the area, and kept an eye on downed cables. Until repairs were finished and the area was deemed safe, the road remained blocked. The call is a reflection of the seasonal driving difficulties that persist throughout the region due to decreased visibility and leaf-covered pavement.
