October 27, 2025 – Pequea Valley Fire Department

Pequea Valley Fire Department is proud to announce its official approval as an EMS Training Institute, marking an important milestone in advancing community-based emergency medical education. With this designation, the department will host its first EMT certification course beginning in January 2026 and continuing through mid-May 2026.

Classes will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, supplemented by one to two Saturday sessions per month. Tuition for the course is $850, and eligible students may qualify for reimbursement opportunities. Applications are now open through December 8, with interviews scheduled for December 15–19. Accepted applicants will be notified on December 22.

This initiative expands access to high-quality EMS training for individuals pursuing a career in emergency services or seeking to serve their community as certified EMTs.

The department extends its appreciation to Wakefield EMS – Station 88 for supporting three EMT classes between 2022 and 2024 during Pequea Valley’s development phase, and to New Holland Ambulance for offering valuable guidance, resources, and assistance in establishing program policies, procedures, and curriculum.

Those interested in joining the inaugural EMT class are encouraged to apply and take the next step toward making a meaningful difference in the community.
