Long Pond, PA — 23rd October— Tunkhannock Township Volunteer Fire Company helped Tobyhanna Township Volunteer Fire Company at a roadside car fire that was fully involved. In order to assist with suppression efforts and ensure a consistent water supply, Tanker 42, Tanker 42-1, and Engine 42-1 responded. Tobyhanna's first-arriving crews launched a fire attack, while Station 42 units supplied extra personnel and supplies to control the situation within the car. The fire did not spread to any neighboring buildings or brush. Traffic was restricted until the car cooled and was certified for towing, and no injuries were recorded. After the overhaul was finished, every unit was put back into operation.
