Santa Ride Cut Short in Nanticoke Due to Illness

December 22, 2025 – Nanticoke City Fire Department, along with the City of Nanticoke and Nanticoke Firefighters IAFF Local 2655, issued an informational message advising residents that the annual Santa ride was unable to be completed as planned due to Santa Claus becoming ill. Officials expressed their apologies to families and children who were unable to see Santa during the event and thanked the community for their understanding. The department extended holiday wishes to all residents, wishing everyone a Merry Christmas.
