Easton- A program to change some of the city's downtown fire hydrants into works of art was started back in late September. This was done through an organized art program run by the Easton Main Street Initiative in collaboration with the fire department. All eleven designs were to be reviewed by the Easton Main Street Initiative design committee and by the fire chief. The artist requirements were that they be eighteen years or older, available to paint between 5 pm and 7pm on September 26th, and they had to bring their own tarps and paint brushes. An acrylic enamel paint suitable for metal surfaces would be provided for. The designs had to be original and not copyrighted or business logos. The themes of these two photos shown were: the "Morning Star" and the "Post Office".
