Department Highlights Community Outreach with Scout Visit.

Stroudsburg, PA — 3rd November — On Monday, Pack 84 received a station visit from Department Blue Ridge Hook and Ladder Fire Co. with an emphasis on basic first aid and fire safety. The majority of the scouts, many of whom were from Hamilton Elementary, demonstrated a good recall of safety instruction and were excited to engage in conversations with firemen. Important information regarding house safety, hazard awareness, and when to call for assistance was reiterated by the crews.

Additionally, scouts learnt about the equipment used in emergency operations and took a tour of the fire vehicles. These kinds of visits, according to firefighters, improve relationships between young citizens and the fire department and assist raise early awareness. The department expressed gratitude to Pack 84 for their visit and expressed interest in future educational opportunities.
