Stroudsburg, PA — 15th November — The pole and wire fire that Department Blue Ridge Hook and Ladder Fire Co. went to on Saturday swiftly turned into a working brush fire. In order to prevent the fire from spreading, crews were sent to secure the area surrounding the utility equipment before moving into the brush. Firefighters stayed on the scene for a long time to make sure the area was safe and to look for hotspots.
In order for suppression teams to operate safely, utility technicians helped secure the damaged lines. The fire was restricted to the nearby region, and no injuries were reported. The agency acknowledged that community safety is still their top priority and thanked the locals for their patience during the response.
