Modena and Mutual Aid Contain Evening House Fire

Parkesburg, Pa. — November 6 — At 7:14 p.m., the Modena Fire Company and numerous mutual-aid agencies were alerted to the 900 block of Buck Run Road in response to a reported house fire. Chester County 911 informed responding units that smoke was evident on the first floor and that animals were present. Deputy 44 (Scott) arrived to find fire on the Charlie side of Division 1 and immediately requested a Working Fire Dispatch, which included additional companies, utilities, and the Chester County Fire Marshal's Office.

Engine 37 arrived first and began fire suppression while command was established and assignments were made to incoming mutual-aid units, including the Keystone Valley Fire Department. The fire was brought under control at 7:39 p.m., with personnel completing a thorough overhaul. One resident was displaced, and the Red Cross was alerted to help.
