October 18, 2025 — Crews from the Upper Yoder Volunteer Fire Company, along with firefighters from Riverside Fire Company, Southmont Fire Company, and West Hills Regional, participated in a joint technical rope rescue training exercise on Saturday.
The scenario focused on farm machinery entrapment, giving firefighters the opportunity to practice low- and high-angle rope operations, stabilization techniques, patient access, and coordinated multi-agency teamwork. The full-day training allowed members to refine their rescue skills in a realistic agricultural environment.
The departments extended their appreciation to the Hunt family for generously allowing the use of their farm for the training session.
