November 4, 2025 — During their biweekly training session last evening, members of the Upper Yoder Volunteer Fire Company continued developing their operational proficiency by practicing hose deployment techniques learned at a recent external training event.
Firefighters refined skills acquired through the East Hills Training Association, applying the methods in multiple hands-on drills to strengthen speed, coordination, and efficiency on the fireground. The department expressed appreciation to East Hills for sharing their expertise and allowing Upper Yoder members to “pay it forward” through continued practice and improvement.
The company emphasized that consistent skills training remains essential to maintaining readiness and ensuring effective response during emergencies.
