October 28, 2025, 14:53 hrs — The Birdsboro-Union Fire Department’s Rescue 7 was dispatched on Box 2301 for a Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) assignment to the 500 block of Carsonia Avenue for a working fire.
First-arriving crews encountered heavy fire conditions extending through the third floor and portions of the second floor of the structure. The building’s original plaster-and-lath construction made access challenging, particularly when opening walls and ceilings during suppression and overhaul operations.
Rescue 7’s crew remained on scene providing RIT support until they were released at 17:00 hrs.
The department extended its thanks to NFC Station 64 for providing coverage in Birdsboro-Union’s first-due area while units operated at the incident.
