Westfield Fire Department Mourns Line-of-Duty Death of FDNY Firefighter Patrick Brady

November 10, 2025 — The Westfield Fire Department has expressed its condolences and solidarity with the New York City Fire Department (FDNY) following the tragic line-of-duty death of Firefighter Patrick Brady, age 42.


Firefighter Brady died on Saturday, November 8, 2025, after suffering cardiac arrest while battling a fire on the roof of a building. Despite immediate medical attention, he could not be revived.


An 11-year veteran of the FDNY, Firefighter Brady was known for his dedication, courage, and steadfast service to the people of New York City.

In a statement, the Westfield Fire Department said it “mourns with the FDNY” and stands with the family, friends, and colleagues of Firefighter Brady during this difficult time.

Funeral arrangements and additional information are expected to be released by FDNY officials.
